I am a staunch believer of the powers of the Almighty. Things happen not because of our capabilities and intelligence unless and until HIS grace is showered on us. We say luck , even for that his Grace and blessings are needed. I read lot of philosophy books of great God realized souls who have not even seen schools but they were knowing everything what is happening within and without this world. . Of course I agree luck plays a major role in one's life but for that luck also GOD, the Almighty's blessings required. We surrender everything including ONESELF to HIS hands and see wonders, how he helps us to solve our problems. So I say have faith in HIM to see life goes smoothly and happily.
